Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the current school year within a K-12 setting located in the Washington DC Area, approximately 45 minutes south of DC. This contract role offers the opportunity to work with elementary and middle school students, managing a caseload that typically hovers around 50 students, with a maximum of 55. Assignments will vary, with no more than two schools per SLP to maintain a manageable workload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide speech-language therapy services to students in grades K-12.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor student progress.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student communication needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state requirements.
- Participate in meetings as necessary regarding student education and therapy plans.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active Virginia SLP licensure is required.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is necessary; Clinical Fellows (CF) will be considered with supervision provided.
- Experience working within school settings is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work full-time (37.5 hours per week) Monday through Friday; part-time candidates working a minimum of 20 hours per week will be considered.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Candidates with Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) credentials may be considered.
